An IRAQuote.com representative explains the fallout from the digital currency following the controversial crash of the company.
Previously, FTX was one of the hottest cryptocurrency exchanges, with many companies and traders investing millions of dollars with what they believed was the future of investment. But weeks later, the company faced bankruptcy, with all that money gone in a flash and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried charged with multiple felony counts including fraud.
With this, however, many are questioning if there’s still value to be found in cryptocurrency, even with big names like Binance and Crypto.com continuing to play a big part in it.
Speaking with CNBC, Marieke Flament, CEO for the Near Foundation (a group that invested in FTX), explained, “I don’t think all the dominoes have fallen out from the contagion[LS1] . The impact that this will have is that a lot of projects actually are not going to have the funds, and therefore the resources, for them to continue and develop.”
Ian Rogers, a Chief Experience Officer for crypto security firm Ledger, added, “Nothing’s too big to fail.”
Here now to speak about the future of crypto, and other potential opportunities for investors to consider, is a representative for IRAQuote.com. Their expertise will certainly prove useful in this matter.
Q&A:
- What does FTX‘s collapse mean for the future of cryptocurrency?
- Where does cryptocurrency stand in general compared to other investment opportunities including gold and IRA’s?
- Is there something to be said about investing millions of dollars into a currency that someone can’t even hold?
- For those getting started in the business world, should cryptocurrency even be considered an option? Or does it really depend on what kind of company they are?
