Inflation has burdened Americans for many months. Unfortunately, despite attempts by Joe Biden to alleviate the soaring prices for essential everyday goods, they continue to impact every American adversely. Currently, oil and gas prices seem to take center stage not just in America but around the world. Oil is over $100 per barrel, and despite the ruthless invasion and assault on humanity taking place in Ukraine, Biden continues to purchase Russian oil.
Sadly, the solution has been right in front of Biden the whole time. Increase US oil production. Make America energy independent. However, despite repeated attempts by Republicans and some Democrats, Biden refuses to take action because he is held hostage by the progressive wing of his party. The radical wing of the Democrats wants to push through the “Green New Deal,” which would eliminate fossil fuels in favor of wind, solar and other forms of power. The problem for Biden is three-fold. First, he does not have anywhere near the votes he needs to pass it. Second, the costs are estimated as high as $93 trillion. Third, it would take years to implement, and Biden needs to reduce gas prices before the mid-term elections.

We are in a state of global chaos. Some say it is an emergency. So why won’t Biden act and push America toward energy independence? Biden’s first action as President was to cancel the Keystone pipeline. Unfortunately, it set American energy independence back years. The crisis with Russia has driven gas prices to some of the highest levels ever seen, and Biden only has one solution. He must make America energy independent. If not, gas prices will continue to increase, and he will be held accountable in the next election.
Even Nancy Pelosi says that the US should stop buying Russian oil. Why won’t Biden listen to his party leadership? Pelosi knows that the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine is making Americans angry. If Biden continues to purchase Russian oil, he will be complicit in atrocities. Biden believes if he stops buying Russian oil, Americans will pay even more at the pumps and does not want that burden.
What is the best solution for Biden and America? Restart the Keystone pipeline. Allow American petroleum companies to produce more oil in the US. We cannot rely on other countries for America’s needs. He needs to stop buying Russian oil so he can clear his conscience of moral irresponsibility. Finally, Biden needs to break free from being held hostage by the progressive wing of his party. Tell these radical members that the Green New Deal is not realistic.
How will the gas shortage and soaring prices at the pump impact the Freedom Convoy and its campaign heading toward DC? Although the Freedom Convoy is moving toward DC to protest against government mandates, they will also be hit with massive gasoline bills for their trucks. Instead of coming to DC to protest one issue, they will no doubt protest both issues.
