The Former Mayor of Shiloh discusses Harris’ words, and what it means for the United States/Israel relationship moving forward.
As if President Joe Biden’s disdain for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t enough, Vice President Kamala Harris has also sounded off on the matter.
Speaking with ABC News, Harris noted that “consequences” could follow if Israel moves forward with a planned invasion of Rafah in Gaza.
Netanyahu previously noted that said invasion is the only way to completely eliminate the forces of Hamas, but Harris believes that “any major military operation in Rafah would be a huge mistake.” She also noted how she “studied the maps” and that there is “nowhere for those folks to go” (referring to the Palestinians that live in Rafah).
When asked about said consequences, Harris noted, “We’re going to take it one step at a time, but we’ve been very clear in terms of our perspective on whether or not (an invasion) should happen.” And she refused to rule out consequences from the United States itself.
While Netanyahu is still pressing forward with invasion plans, he will be sending a “high-level delegation” to meet with White House officials in an effort to try to get everyone on the same page.
So what happens now? Joining us now to discuss his actions is David Rubin, the former Mayor of Shiloh Israel, to discuss the matter further. Welcome, David!
