Vatican Blasts Gender Theory as Threat to Human Dignity (Guest: Jim Harden)

In a shock to many and relief to others, the Vatican released a document Monday critical of gender theory and transgender surgery, explaining it is an affront to human dignity. The document, titled “Infinite Dignity,” was over five years in the making.

The document states “Desiring a personal self-determination, as gender theory prescribes, apart from this fundamental truth that human life is a gift, amounts to a concession to the age-old temptation to make oneself God, entering into competition with the true God of love revealed to us in the Gospel.”

CompassCare CEO and Reverend James Harden reacted by stating “Some may find this an unsarcastically conservative position for this papacy. The questions is: ‘Why now?’”

The document from the Vatican also addresses abortion and human trafficking among other hot-button issues. Abortion is discussed under the heading “Violence Against Women.”

We have Reverend Harden joining us now to look at this bold move from the Catholic Church.  Jim, welcome to the program.
