TOPIC: US House Blowout Vote 420-9 in Favor of $1 Billion for Israel’s Iron Dome

GUEST: David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh Israel, is the author of the new book, Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel.

In a record, blow out vote, the U.S. House voted 420 – 9 to provide Israel $1 billion for its Iron Dome defense funding today in what has turned into a massive rebuke against a handful of noisy, anti-Semitic representatives, led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. Credit goes to the congressional Republicans and the American people who forced the hand of Democrats to show definitively if they support Israel or not. Even Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had to admit publicly that “Iron Dome is important, and it’ll get done.”

“A short-lived temporary success for AOC and the radical left-wing Democrats of the self-proclaimed ‘squad’ backfired. America and Israel are engaged in a culture war against a poisonous radical ideology that threatens freedoms, businesses, and economic success in both our nations.” David Rubin, founder and president of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund.

The Democratic Party leadership in the US House of Representatives had announced the removal of $1 billion in critical funding for Israel’s Iron Dome defense system, while including funding for many other foreign projects. Why is that?

Discussion Points:

1.       How were the so-called “progressives” successful at first in thwarting the Iron Dome funding?

2.       Why did the Democrats’ leadership temporarily succumb to the pressure?

3.       What do you say to the radical squad members who claim that funding for Israel is against American interests?

4.       Why was there a backlash and ultimately approval of the funding?

5.       Your book, “Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn From Israel” explains the danger to both America and Israel from the collusion between the radical Left and radical Muslims. Where can people get a copy?
