The law enforcement veteran commends the officers and believes this is the example that President Biden needs to be following when it comes to migrants.
With so many states up in arms about trying to figure out what to do about the ongoing border crisis, Governor Ron DeSantis isn’t resting on his laurels.
The Republican Florida Governor spoke on Friday about a brave incident surrounding his state’s police officers, as they managed to intercept a boat filled with Haitian immigrants – as well as weapons and drugs.
This is part of DeSantis’ current plans to deflect incoming migrants, using a combination of law enforcement officers and Florida State Guard members. And, based on this key example, it’s working like a charm.
“Our Florida Fish and Wildlife officers interdicted a vessel that had 25 illegal immigrants, potential illegal immigrants, from Haiti. In their boat, in their vessel, they had firearms, they had drugs, they had night vision gear and were boating very recklessly, which would potentially endanger other folks,” DeSantis noted.
It should be noted that DeSantis also signed three additional bills to fight against incoming immigrants, including bigger penalties for certain crimes. But the real question is why President Joe Biden isn’t following suit.
