The Suffering of Israel’s Hostage, and the Hostility They Face In Other Parts of the World (Guest: Jonathan Feldstein)

The founder of the Genesis 123 Foundation discusses what citizens are going through right now, both in Israel and elsewhere.

The Israel/Hamas war continues to rage on, with over 1,400 innocent people killed. However, there are also over 240 people that have been taken hostage, and Jonathan Feldstein couldn’t help but give that situation a closer look.

In a new column, Feldstein discusses more of the hostage situation. He noted how, out of so many that have been kidnapped, only four have been released overall; and for the families of the remaining hostages, “while there may be optimism, they are facing a grim reality of their loved ones’ captivity and in many cases, unknown fate.”

He also discussed the brutal death of 23-year old hostage Shani Louk, and how the situation of the remaining hostages leaves him with a “not so hopeful” feeling.

“When terrorists’ currency is evil, each competing group wants more loot, more influence, and more glee in the suffering of others. All the better if they are Israeli Jews, but clearly, they are not concerned by their hostages’ nationality. The thing is that rather than pandering to and attempted negotiation with these evil terrorists, the leaders of every civilized nation must stand firmly, strongly, together and with Israel.  This is neither a time for moral ambiguity nor for any form of appeasement of the evil Islamic terror that Hamas and others represent.”

On top of that, in another column, he also expressed concern for the treatment of Israelis traveling to other countries in an effort to escape their war-torn homeland – including a horrible homecoming in Russia. “Can you be so willfully ignorant? Is your hatred of Jews so deep that you’re so blind? You should be ashamed,” he noted.

Feldstein, who also serves as the founder of the Genesis 123 Foundation (which are currently hard at work on helping Israelis at this time), joins us now to discuss these matters further.

Q&A:

  1. What’s the status of the hostages? How will Israel respond, you think?
  2. Do you believe Hamas could take even more hostages as the war rages on? Perhaps make even more brutal examples of them, like Shani Louk?
  3. Where do you see the war between Israel and Hamas going in the months ahead? Will things get worse before they get better?
  4. You recently posted a video discussing what the Genesis 123 Foundation is doing to help. Can you talk more about this?
  5. Why do you think other countries are treating Jews that come from Israel with hatred? Personal feelings? Political beliefs?
  6. What can be done with the increase of this antisemitism, if anything?
  7. What would you say is the main difference in IDF tactics, particularly with striking Hamas leaders?
  8. Tell us about the Genesis 123 Foundation.
  9. It is a nonprofit whose mission is to build bridges between Jews and Christians with Israel in ways that are new, unique, and meaningful.
  10. Where may we find more information on your organization, the Genesis 123 foundation?

Israel has suffered barrages of thousands of rockets and missiles fired at Israeli communities creating death, damage, injuries, fear and trauma. The security threats, deaths, injuries, and trauma are at a level unseen in years.

The Genesis 123 Foundation is standing in the gap to provide emergency needs including civilian security, soldiers’ welfare, those suffering trauma, people whose homes have been destroyed, and emergency medical needs.
Every donation of any size makes a huge difference. https://love.genesis123.co/
