The New Executive Action Proposed By Biden/Harris Shows Just How Much Their “Gun Violence Prevention” Office Is Failing

A spokesman for the Second Amendment Foundation discusses the latest action by the Administration.

President Joe Biden looks to “celebrate” the opening of an office for gun violence prevention with…an executive order?

It was announced during a White House event that Biden is looking to sign an order that will “tackle the threat” of machine gun conversion devices. Printable at home via 3D printers, they can turn a handgun into a fully automatic weapon.

Harris is set to overlook the office if elected as President, as it reportedly allows her to learn more leadership on gun control issues.

But has the office really had any sort of effect, aside from threats of banning particular elements for private gun owners? It introduced a Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, with “enhanced” background checks to block certain gun sales, as well as hyping FBI numbers about a drop in homicides (yet no word on active shooter events or violent acts).

What should the future of this office be? And are their methods even affecting the problem in the right way? A spokesman for the Second Amendment Foundation joins us now to discuss the matter further. Their belief in everyone having the right to keep and bear arms make them a great guest on this subject. Welcome!

Q&A:

  1. Do you think Biden’s office on gun violence prevention has been effective in any way?
  2. Aside from the introduction of a bipartisan act and attempting to ban certain components of guns, would you say they’ve done anything of use for private gun owners?
  3. If Harris takes over the office (by being elected as President), could we see even more proposed gun restrictions without Congress getting involved?
  4. What are your thoughts on Harris’ stance with gun violence? Especially considering the fact she actually owns a gun?
  5. Where can we learn more about the Second Amendment Foundation?
