The Latest Active Shooter Event In Raleigh Calls For a Needed Solution – And Concealed-Carry Is the Answer (Guest: Second Amendment)

A spokesperson for the Second Amendment Foundation explains why governments should consider this option.

Another tragic active shooter event has taken place in Raleigh, and its community is reeling.

Five people have been killed in the tragic event, with a 15-year old suspect taken into custody. Among these victims are three women, as well as a police officer.

Many are asking questions as to what motivated the shooter, as an “investigation is ongoing,” according to the police department. However, many questions have come about as a result.

This marks the 25th active shooter event this year, bringing their count to an all-time high. Many are looking at potentially banning assault rifles as the solution to the problem. However, a Second Amendment Foundation spokesperson now joins us to discuss what they believe will be a more effective alternative – passing a nationwide law to allow for select citizens to concealed-carry.

Q&A:

  1. Why do you propose that concealed-carry could be a more effective solution than Biden’s current plan to ban the sale of assault rifles?
  2. Do you believe there would be concern about shooters being able to get their hands on the weapons anyway, considering how easy they are to get online?
  3. A recent report noted that the FBI is supposedly hiding the numbers surrounding the effectiveness of concealed-carry citizens when it comes to stopping active shooters. Why do you believe they’re trying to conceal these numbers? Perhaps to focus more on Biden’s banning assault rifle solution?
  4. The reported shooter was only 15 years old. How alarming does this sound to you? Does it speak about potentially setting a legal age for gun purchases? Or do you believe that would matter?
  5. What argument would you have for someone that says, “We just need to take away the guns”? Obviously private gun-owning citizens would probably have an opinion about that.
  6. Where can we learn more about the Second Amendment Foundation and its members?
