However, few people realize the true nature of this initiative. Our guest says this pier is nothing more than a photo op and that this whole pier charade is like fake wrestling on steroids, suggesting that Israel is failing to provide for Gaza’s needs and that the U.S. had to step in.
Today, we have David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, to discuss why this pier is unnecessary and an illusion that Israel is not providing for the needs of the people in Gaza, thereby justifying U.S. intervention. All this distracts us from the real issues at hand. Welcome, David.
Q&A:
- Host: Is there really starvation in Gaza?
David Rubin: Of course not. Remember the bloated belly pictures of starving Biafran, Ethiopian, and Rwandan children? Have you seen those in Gaza? because there are none. The people of Gaza are not starving, and the portrayal of such is misleading.
- Host: What happens to the humanitarian supplies trucks that roll into Gaza every day?
David Rubin: Most of the hundreds of humanitarian supplies trucks rolling into Gaza every day are routinely hijacked by Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists.
- Host: Is building a pier the right solution for the humanitarian crisis?
David Rubin: As I’ve stated previously, there is no humanitarian crisis and there are no starving children. Building an expensive pier, as insisted upon by Biden and Blinken, is just a political maneuver to look good in the eyes of the voter base of the Democrat Party which is radical left and anti-Israel anyhow.
- Host: Do you recall seeing similar humanitarian efforts in past wars around the world?
David Rubin: I don’t remember seeing the humanitarian pier in Afghanistan, built to feed Taliban civilians, nor do I remember the hundreds of American humanitarian aid trucks flowing into Berlin to feed the Nazi civilians during WWII.
- Host: What is the best way to ease Arab civilian suffering during the war in Gaza?
David Rubin: For Israel to unleash its full military might on Hamas in Gaza and to win this war decisively. Lest we forget, on October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists and their Palestinian civilian cohorts made an unprovoked invasion of Israel, killing more than 1,000 innocent Jewish civilians, so we have the right to fight and win this war that we did not start. Forcing Israel to fight with one hand tied behind its back and feed their enemies with the other is unfair and only prolongs human suffering. Nonetheless, Israel has provided tons of humanitarian aid to the citizens in Gaza, but their leaders take the food and trade it for weapons or sell it for high prices. It’s a sham.
- Host: What are your thoughts on the overall nature of this war?
David Rubin: War is not pretty, but this war, started after the savage Hamas massacre of Israeli civilians on Oct. 7, is the most just war since WWII. In war, civilians often are killed unintentionally, and more than 80% of Arab civilians in Gaza have consistently supported the intentional October 7 massacre. If a few thousand of them lose a few meals or are killed or wounded in this very justified war, neither I nor most of my fellow Israelis will lose any sleep.
- Host: What is your opinion about some of the hostage families who have been trying to stop the humanitarian aid trucks?
David Rubin: I will not shed any crocodile tears. Wars are won by defeating the enemy. This includes both the Hamas terrorists and the Hamas-supporting civilians.
- Host: Tell us about Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund that you founded.
David Rubin: The Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund is dedicated to healing the trauma of children who have been victims of terrorist attacks. We provide therapeutic, educational, and recreational programs to help these children rebuild their lives.
