The Arizona Supreme Court Notes That the State Can Enact On Its Abortion Ban (Guest: Rev. Jim Harden)

The CompassCare CEO discusses the ruling, and why it’s a big step forward for those that support pro-life.

At a time when most states seem to lean towards the pro-abortion types, Arizona has been heard loud and clear – they truly value the life of babies.

Earlier this week, the Arizona Supreme Court announced a ruling that will enable the state to enforce its abortion ban. Previously, Planned Parenthood challenged the ban, which had been in place all the way since 1864. Previously, Roe v. Wade had an effect on it being carried out; but with its reversal, that’s no longer the case.

The court noted, “We conclude that (Arizona’s law) does not create a right to, or otherwise provide independent statutory authority for, an abortion that repeals or restricts (the law), but rather is predicated entirely on the existence of a federal constitutional right to an abortion since disclaimed by Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

“Absent the federal constitutional abortion right, and because (the law) does not independently authorize abortion, there is no provision in federal or state law prohibiting (the law’s) operation. Accordingly, (Arizona’s law) is now enforceable.”

As expected, there will likely be opposition to the ruling, namely from abortion businesses and extreme types that don’t value life as much as others do.

Joining us now to discuss the case further is Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Centers. His belief in the value of life makes him an ideal guest for this interview. Welcome, Mr. Harden!
