The producer and host of the BorderWars series discusses the court decision, and how it affects the Biden administration.
At a time when the border crisis continues to be a problem, a key decision may have shifted the tide.
On a 6-3 vote, with the three liberal justices dissenting, the Supreme Court ruled Texas can enforce their new law that gives local police the power to arrest illegal immigrants and deport them. This is in spite of the Biden administration feeling that this action – among others recently performed by Gov. Greg Abbott – repulsive.
The law will go into effect while litigation continues in the lower courts. The law had been temporarily frozen while the Supreme Court considered the request of the Biden administration to stop it. Texas enacted the law in response to the federal government’s refusal to stop illegal immigration.
This decision comes just months after the Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration in their demand that razor wire be removed from the border. (Keep in mind, however, that Gov. Abbott is still standing firm in his defense tactics.)

She currently serves as producer and host for BorderWars, a new documentary that follows her and her crew as they look at the trials and tribulations occurring at the U.S./Mexico border.
