Signs Indicate That China and Russia Could Be Working Together (Guest: Nan Su)

The Epoch Times’ Nan Su explains why little warning signs could lead to a very big problem for the United States.

Tension is already pretty high between United States and China, between the shot-down surveillance balloon and the House of Congress forming a committee to look into the country’s controversial actions. But now there are signs indicating a potential China-Russia alliance.

Per the BBC, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken believes that Chinese firms are working very closely with Russia to provide “non-lethal support” in its battle against Ukraine – and that could soon potentially change to “lethal” in the form of weapons.

Blinken noted that this would bring “serious consequences” for China, even though Beijing claimed he was simply spreading lies. “We do not accept the United States’ finger-pointing on China-Russia relations, let alone coercion and pressure,” noted China foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin during a press conference.

Even with that denial, however, China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, is set to visit Moscow this week. It could very well pave the way for a visit later from China leader Xi Jinping, though that has yet to be confirmed.

The ministry noted in a statement, “Through joint efforts in the coming year, Russia and China will be able to strengthen and advance bilateral interstate ties. As it is known, Russian President V.V. Putin invited Chinese leader Xi Jinping to a government visit in the spring. We are proceeding with the understanding that this will be the central event for the bilateral relationship in 2023.”

But how much of a threat could this be to the United States? With us now to discuss this further is Nan Su, a senior investigative reporter for The Epoch Times. Nan has covered China for some time now, noting the rising tension within the country. His expertise will prove very useful in this matter.

Q&A:

  1. What do you think is behind China and Russia working so closely together? Could they potentially have some sort of plan against the United States, particularly if the committee continues its investigation?
  2. How long have Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin been working together? Do you believe they really are providing “non-lethal” and “lethal” support to the country, as noted by Blinken?
  3. China has also been in talks with other countries, including Iran and North Korea. Could this act as some sort of coalition against the U.S. down the line? Potentially even a war, as a Four-Star General previously predicted days ago?
  4. Speaking of North Korea, this article notes that the country has launched more ballistic missiles off the East Court, after firing some off of Japan’s west coast just days prior. How much of a danger does this pose, especially as they get closer to other countries?
  5. What do you think the United States should do in retaliation for the actions by China and Russia? Is there anything they can even do at this point, aside from the committee?
  6. Speaking of what’s going on with China, you recently contributed to a new Epoch Times documentary called The Final WarTell us more about it and why it’s such a compelling subject with everything that’s happening right now.
  7. Where can we learn more about you and see your work over on The Epoch Times?
