Over the past few months, China has been attempting to counter the United States across a number of instances – and there are just too many to ignore.
Back in December, a Chinese military fighter jet came dangerously close to a U.S. reconnaissance plane near Japan, with no explanation as to why. And more recently, by the end of January, over 40 Chinese planes and nine battleships had crossed over into the Taiwan Strait, coming dangerously close to the island nation.
But now we’re seeing even more instances, indicating that president Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) may be pushing to have its presence felt.
Right before the weekend, a spy balloon sent by China was seen over the United States, which was later shot down by U.S. military. As a result, according to Reuters, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had delayed his visit to the country, and Chinese officials noted it was “fuss without nothing.” (This comes on the heels of Chinese foreign spokesperson Mao Ning warning Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy not to visit Taiwan last month.)
But if that isn’t enough, the CCP managed to open a police station in New York last year, in an effort to crack down on Chinese criminals. However, according to the Epoch Times, a reported FBI raid has resulted in its shutdown. At least, for now.
Taken apart, these incidents could merely be happenstance. However, when they’re considered all together, it adds up to one frightening reality – CCP is trying to make its presence felt in the United States, possibly in retaliation to the House of Representatives recently forming a committee to take a closer look at its actions.

- Do you believe that Xi Jinping and the CCP are annoyed with the idea that the House of Congress has put together a committee to investigate them? Could these actions be in retaliation to that?
- Let’s talk about the “secret” police station for a moment. The fact they unofficially opened it, without any sanctions or permissions, is alarming. Could they be doing this in other cities as well? Why do you think they kept the New York office open for so long?
- Next, let’s talk about this spy balloon. It looks like it may have been sent out to keep tabs on Blinken with his visit to China. Do you think it perhaps served another purpose? Should we keep an eye out for more spy utilities such as this?
- Mao Ning didn’t hold anything back when it came to threatening Kevin McCarthy over his visit to Taiwan. How pressured do you believe things will get between the United States and China over the country? Could Taiwan possibly retaliate against China in turn, with the U.S. as an ally?
- Earlier this week, a four-star general noted that war between China and the U.S. could take place as soon as 2025. Is this the path that we seem to be headed down? For that matter, could Russia play a part in it, provided they’ve worked with China in the past?
