(Interview Guest: Shiloh, Israel Mayor David Rubin David Rubin)
Reuters News just published a news story that immediately became the #1 story on Google News with the headline, “Israel orders more Gazans to flee, bombs areas where it sends them.”
But is it true? Helping us answer this question, as well as putting the Israel/Hamas War in perspective, is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome Mayor Rubin.
Q&A:
1. I’m going to read to you the lead story on the Reuter’s daily headline summary title, “5 Stories you need to know,” and I’m asking you to please comment on it: “Israel orders more Gazans to flee, bombs areas where it sends them Israel orders more Gazans to flee, bombs areas where it.” That makes it sound like Israel is waging intentional mass genocide against innocent civilians. Is there any truth to that?
Answer: Israel has distributed thousands of flyers detailing new safe zones for civilians. Is Israel responsible for those enemy civilians who ignore the instructions? This is war, and Hamas is responsible for this war, and frankly, so are many of those same civilians who overwhelmingly elected the Hamas terrorist organization and are now ignoring Israel’s concern for their safety.
2. With the war back in full motion, what are the next steps, and will Israel conquer all of Gaza?
3. Will Hamas survive the current southern offensive?
4. What is Israel targeting at this point in the war?
5. What will happen to the remaining 139 hostages and the Gazan civilians?
6. Does Israel have an end goal strategy and how does it differ from the end goal strategy of the Biden administration?
7. How is the Israeli public dealing with the ups and downs of the massacre, then war, then ceasefire, then war again?
8. What about what’s happening with media perspective on this war, and those that believe Israel may have led citizens to an area where bombing took place?
9. Where do you see this conflict heading as 2024 looms?
10. Can you tell us about your work battling the effects of war and terrorism trauma on the children of Israel, and include sharing with us the work you are doing at the charity you founded, Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, to help Children who are victims of terrorism?
