With President Joe Biden recently lifting the Title 42 rule originally kept in place for border protection, many are bracing for the impact it will have. Several states, including Arizona and Louisiana, have already filed lawsuits in an attempt to reverse it; and many believe that there will now be a surge of migrants, without about a million expected in the first six weeks alone.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)’s RJ Hauman recently sounded off on the matter, asking, “Do they want this presidency to be defined by chaos and lawlessness at the southern border? If not, they must reverse the termination of Title 42 and go back to the drawing board.”
Joining us now is Michael Letts, the founder and CEO of several organizations that help out the police, including In-Vest USA and First Responder Academy. He had his own thoughts on the matter, which we’ll talk about today.
- What kind of after-effects can we expect now that Joe Biden has lifted Title 42?
- Do you think the removal of Title 42 will put officers more at risk, particularly with border patrol?
- What do you think about these states filing lawsuits in the hopes of reversing Title 42?
- Where do you see the fallout from this going in about a year’s time?
- Is there any advice you have for those trying to prepare for the fallout from Title 42’s reversal?
