The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses the forthcoming meetings, and what could come from it when it comes to peace in Israel.
After a conflictive year with Hamas and Iran, Israel could very well be on the path to peace for 2026. But first, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needs to speak to U.S. President Donald Trump to see what next steps to take.
The two are set to meet in Florida this week to discuss what’s happening, including concerns in Iran, as well as the ongoing attacks in Lebanon and Syria.
Trump had already talked about pursuing a 20-point “peace plan,” which began to take place with the current ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. However, there are concerns that it could potentially end.
With this discussion, plans could be put in place to help keep the ceasefire together, and work towards assuring safety from whatever Iran’s military forces are attempting to build. But can the two build towards a better Israel in 2026, especially considering how strenuous their relationship has been in the past?
Joining us now to discuss this further is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.
