P-BS (Guest: MRC Spokesman)

Public Broadcasting Synonymous with Taxpayer-Funded Gaslighting

Despite PBS CEO Paula Kerger’s claim that “we work really hard to try to bring multiple viewpoints forward,” a new Media Research Center (MRC) study proves otherwise. As the Trump administration enters its second term, PBS News Hour’s liberal bias is not only intact—it’s accelerating.

MRC spokesmen David Bozell, Dan Schneider, and Tim Graham are available to discuss this huge disparity between reality and egregious make-believe, better known as gaslighting.

MRC tracked every guest appearance on PBS News Hour from Inauguration Day (Jan 20, 2025) through May 19, 2025, and found a staggering 4.2-to-1 ratio of liberal to conservative guests—and an even more lopsided 6.5-to-1 imbalance when government officials are excluded.

Even the few Republican guests were often Trump critics, while liberal guests were given softballs or platforms to promote extreme claims—like fascism fears, immigration sob stories, and DEI alarmism. PBS’s supposedly balanced “On Democracy” segment? It featured six liberal and five conservative guests, but with dramatically different treatment in tone and interrogation.

Among the findings:

173 liberal-leaning guests vs. 41 conservatives

Liberal journalists outnumbered conservatives 22 to 1

Zero pro-Trump Democrats; nearly half of Republicans were anti-Trump

Radical academics and legacy media pundits dominated the guest list

With taxpayer dollars funding PBS, MRC spokesmen are calling on Congress to hold PBS accountable for violating its legal mandate of “objectivity and balance.” MRC experts are available to discuss why PBS’s public trust is eroding—and how reform is overdue.

PBS wants to talk “democracy”? Let’s start with a little honesty.
