Out of Office Ten Years, Barack Takes another Public Shot at Israel’s Existence and Defends Terrorists
As tensions over Israel rage, former President Barack Obama has ignited a firestorm by accusing Israel of taking Palestinian land and surrendering the moral high ground. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasted no time firing back. David Rubin, founder and president of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, and former mayor of Shiloh, firmly backs Netanyahu’s forceful rebuttal.

During a paid speaking engagement at the O2 Arena in Belfast, Obama didn’t hold back in explaining how Israel had stolen Palestinian land. “They took land off people and they were expelled,” he explained. “And those people understandably said, ‘This is injustice and I want my land back.’
“If the attitude of Israel is, now that we are the strongest, the most technologically advanced in the region, then our security will depend on us simply doing whatever we need and taking whatever we want, and not making any concessions to anyone, that may work short-term. But you have ceded moral ground if that is the position you take.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has since responded, believing that Obama’s words are absolutely misguided.
“The Jewish people are not foreign occupiers in the land of our forefathers,” he explained in a video posted on X. “Our land is not stolen land. This is our homeland: it’s called Judea. That’s where Jews come from. We’ve been attached to it for thousands of years.”
He added, “The obstacle to peace is not Israel. It’s not our fight for our every right to exist in our own state, it’s the refusal of our enemies, and America’s enemies to recognize the Jewish people’s right to a state of our own, in any boundaries.”
It appears the rivalry between Obama and Netanyahu goes back a ways. Back in May 2011, in the midst of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, the two did not see eye to eye.
But did Obama go too far with his comments? And did he slyly admit that Palestinian terrorism – which resulted in thousands of lives lost – is justified?
