Genesis 123 Foundation founder and author Jonathan Feldstein explains why a strike could stop attacks on shipments in the Red Sea.
As the war against Hamas continues, another concern on a different front has arisen overseas – the Yemeni Houthi.
Several attacks have taken place on international shipping in the Red Sea, with Yemen – the poorest country in the Middle East – firmly to blame. And why? Mainly, it’s due to its backers in Iran, as well as its own collective backward ideology.
This could raise havoc not only for Israel and other Arab countries in terms of physical safety, but also a majority of countries (even the U.S.), as it could affect shipping of particular goods and force their price to increase.
The United States has already announced that it has assembled an international coalition in the hopes of countering the Yemeni Houthi attacks and keeping the shipments safe. However, Jonathan Feldstein, author and founder of the Genesis 123 Foundation, has a different solution in mind – a direct strike on every Yemeni Houthi military facility.
“Because Yemen doesn’t require much setting back to the 18th century, this does not have to be a long campaign, but it needs to be bold and forceful,” Feldstein explained. “It needs to stop the terror from Yemen, create a sense of security in the Middle East (especially as it threatens the Saudis, Emiratis and others), and send a clear and loud message to Iran: you’re next.”
Feldstein joins us now to discuss this situation further.
Q&A:
1. Based on what you’ve seen, why are Yemeni Houthi attacking these shipments? For resources, or something else that Iran needs?
2. If they continue to be hit, how much could this affect certain supply chains around the world, including the United States?
3. You believe a military strike on Yemen facilities could be the answer to stopping the battle. But wouldn’t Iran retaliate? Could this increase uneasiness with what’s happening in Israel?
4. What do you think about the U.S.’ current efforts with the formation of the coalition with ten nations?
5. Where do you see the ongoing fight between Israel and Hamas going in 2024?
6. We believe you recently discussed a Tanzanian Hamas terror victim that was recently laid to rest with comfort and support from Israel. Can you tell us more about him?
7. Tell us about the Genesis 123 Foundation.
