The Ceasefire Agreement between the Trump administration and Turkey has raised many questions and the Dems are pouncing on it as a harsh betrayal, not just of our ISIS fighting partner, the Kurds, but also of our strong and reliable ally, Israel. Do Israelis agree?
As former mayor of Shiloh, Israel and author of “Trump and the Jews”, David Rubin has the answer to that question, as well as his sharp analysis of the situation in Syria and Iran.
Q&A:
- What do Israelis think of the US-Turkey agreement?
Answer: It has the potential to calm the situation and stop the Turkish incursion. The Kurds were allies in the fight against ISIS and a massacre by the Turks must be prevented.
- What do you think was accomplished during the Pompeo-Netanyahu meeting?
Answer: Good communication and a strengthening of the already strong U.S.-Israel bond. Also, they likely discussed some of the larger, over-arching issues related to Syria and Iran.
- Such as what?
Answer: Iran’s lust for acquiring nuclear weapons and creating total havoc in the region, for starters.
- How does the pullout affect the relationship between Netanyahu and President Trump?
Answer: That relationship is stronger than ever. I must remind you that while Israel has supported the Kurds and is very concerned about Iran’s attempts to dominate the region, it has never asked for American boots on the ground, not in Syria, nor anywhere else in the Middle East.
- You and your son were victims of a terrorist attack, leading to your forming an organization helping children who were victims of terror. Can you tell us about that?
Answer: My son and I were ambushed and wounded by Muslim terrorists. I was shot in the leg and my three-year-old son was shot in the head. After our long period of recovery, I established Shiloh israel Children’s Fund to heal the trauma of the terror victim children.
- Your book “Trump and the Jews” covered much of what we discussed today. Where may we get a copy of your book?
Answer: Just go to Amazon.com and type in the words, Trump and the Jews, or go to www.DavidRubinIsrael.com
