Nashville Just Handed Its Police a Major Problem, As It’s Forced To Contact Federal Agents Regarding Illegal Immigrants (Guest: Michael Letts)

The law enforcement veteran discusses the newly passed law, which could become a real hassle for an already struggling police force.

As if the ongoing Border Crisis wasn’t already enough of a hassle, Nashville just passed a new law that will make things even tougher for its police forces.

According to Law Enforcement Today, the new law requires local police departments and the state police to contact federal agents if they come across an illegal immigrant. That means they would need to notify federal immigration authorities instead of acting upon their rule of the law.

Senator Mark Pody believes this is the “right thing to do” when it comes to the safety of the immigrants. However, the problem lies in what kind of results will come from contacting federal agents.

While some migrants are just trying to settle into a quiet life here in the United States, the fact they are doing it illegally does bring up some questions.

Joining us now to discuss this further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships.

His expertise in all things law and order make him a great person for this interview. Welcome, Michael!
