Keep Research Dollars in the U.S Rather than in Virus Labs in Communist China!

Dr. Dan O’Brien MD avails via Zoom/Skype/Phone/St. Louis/CT

President Trump pulled the plug on millions of U.S. dollars being used to fund virus testing in Wuhan, China. One of the outspoken doctors calling for this defunding was medial futurist Dr. Dan O’Brien MD who is joining us with his clarion call to keep research dollars in the U.S.

Q&A:

Dr. Dan question #1: What makes you believe it is true that the U.S. government funded virus testing in Wuhan, China?

Dr. Dan answer: Newsweek Magazine has reported and corroborated the fact that none other than Dr. Anthony Fauci from the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease actually supported the Wuhan China lab with $7.4 million U.S. dollars for Coronavirus research prior to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic! Our guest, Dr. Dan O’Brien MD, is here to give us some historical and medical background on what may have been the biggest accident in the history of the United States and perhaps on planet earth.

Dr. Dan question #2: You have been sounding the alarm during Talk Show interviews since April on Dr. Fauci’s possible personal involvement in funding the Wuhan lab leading to the unleashing of the COVID-19 Pandemic. It was just been announced that President Trump has pulled the plug on U.S. funding of the Wuhan lab. Do you think your sounding the alarm helped lead to the president’s defunding decision—and just what was our country funding, anyway?

Dr. Dan answer: It was no small thing getting the word out regarding the funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology by the U.S. National Institute for Allergy and Infectious disease. Many in media called this fake news or conspiracy theory. I hope my interviews have and continue to sound the alarm against the dangerous ‘gain of function research’ on bat coronaviruses conducted in Wuhan, China where there are not the same safety measures in place that we have in the United States.

Dr. Dan question #3: What exactly is gain of function research?

Dr. Dan answer: Gain of function is research that aims to improve understanding of disease-causing agents, their interaction with human hosts, and their potential to cause pandemics.

Dr. Dan question #4: Do you believe it was this gain of function research project at the Wuhan Lab that started the pandemic?

Dr. Dan answer: Yes, upon examining the data, I am confident that the current COVID-19 pandemic was started in the Wuhan laboratory.

Dr. Dan question #5:  What was the Wuhan Lab project description of the research in the laboratory?

Dr. Dan answer:  They used S protein sequence data, infectious clone technology, in vitro and in vivo infection experiments and analysis of receptor binding to test the hypothesis that percent divergence thresholds in S protein sequences predict spillover potential.  Spillover refers to the ability of a virus to jump from animals to humans which requires that the virus be able to attach to the receptors in the cells of humans

Dr. Dan question #6: Has COVID-19 been shown to bind to receptors in the human lungs and other organs, which thus could explain COVID-19 severe symptoms of attacking the lungs?

Dr. Dan answer: Yes, exactly. COVID-19 is adept at binding to the ACE2 receptor in human lungs, and we know that in those individuals who were impacted the most and even died, their lungs were mostly affected.

Dr. Dan question #7: Is there any reason on earth that we should be funding research in China or do we have the ability here in the United States to do virus research?

Dr. Dan answer: There is no legitimate virus research China can do that we cannot do in the United States, with the possible exception of research in biological warfare if China is researching how to develop  even more powerful strains of coronaviruses. But think about it. If China is experimenting on such bioweapons, would they really honestly share that information with us? Thus, once again, there is no good reason to fund virus research in China.

Dr. Dan question #8: In the future how do you see this story unfolding?

Dr. Dan answer: While you may not see it reported widely in the mainstream media, the truth will come out regarding how the pandemic started and the potential role that the Dr. Fauci had in this especially considering the 7.4 million dollars that were given in research to the Wuhan lab before President Trump withdrew funding.

Dr. Dan question #9: In the future, will this affect other virology research projects regarding who will receive research dollars, and in what countries these research projects will take place?

Dr. Dan answer: Yes, and as we look to the future, it’s important to understand how research projects in a lab can spread and can turn deadly in a pandemic so moving forward our U.S government can ensure that proper precautions are in place so this does not occur again.

Dr Dan question #10: Where may we get more information on you and articles you have written on COVID-19?

Dr. Dan answer: At DrDanMd.com or on Twitter @DrDanMd1
