A Gun Owners of America spokesman explains why the actions of the Presidential candidate aren’t likely to win her votes this week.
During their push for the Election this season, both Presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her vice president pick Tim Walz made it clear that they are gun owners. However, their past actions have shown that they have been against gun rights – and their words aren’t fooling gun owners.
Several women who are private gun owners have spoken to Fox News about the words coming from these two. “When Kamala Harris started talking about owning a Glock, I felt nothing,” said Amara Barnes, who serves as the founder for the Gun Owners Association of America. “We all realize that it’s pandering and virtue signaling to the right, and she’s hoping that we’re too dumb not to realize that she is completely anti-gun.”
Harris had spoken on several far-left stances in the past, including gun control and defunding the police. So it’s clear this talk about the two of them being “gun owners” simply won’t work.
Jane Milhans, who is a Washington-based firearms instructor and Second Amendment advocate, noted that the whole thing is merely “smokescreen campaign rhetoric.”
She added, “I do not believe that she is a gun owner that practices and supports our right to protect ourselves.”
Joining us now to discuss this matter further is a spokesman for the Gun Owners of America, a group that firmly believes in everyone’s right to bear arms.
Sam Parades is available to speak on this subject, serving as Executive Director of the Gun Owners of America.
Stephen Willeford, the 2017 “hero with a gun” who serves as the spokesman for the Gun Owners of America, is also available.
Q&A:
- Do you agree that Harris and Walz are merely “pandering” in an effort to get votes from gun owners?
- Considering her stance on anti-gun issues in the past, does this seem like a desperation ploy on Harris’ behalf? Especially considering she’s not going into detail on the firearm she supposedly owns?
- If elected President, what kind of attack could Harris and Walz unleash on gun rights? We’ve already seen Biden try to go after said rights in the past.
- What do you think about Donald Trump’s current stance on guns?
- FOR STEPHEN: You recently wrote a book called A Town Called Sutherland Springs: Faith and Heroism Through Tragedy, revolving around your 2017 “hero with a gun” situation. Tell us more about how this came together, and why it’s such an important read right now.
- FOR STEPHEN: Where can people find your book?
- Where can we learn more about you, as well as Gun Owners of America?
