Joe Biden’s Support of Israel Appears To Be Waning Based On Personal Feelings (Guest: David Rubin)

Former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin discusses the President’s growing irritation of Benjamin Netanyahu.

Ever since the start of the Israel/Hamas war back in October, President Joe Biden has pledged his support to the former, promising whatever aid he can provide to the country. Lately, however, reports indicate that he’s having mixed feelings about that, despite not changing his official stance.

According to NBC News, private conversation with Biden have revealed his frustration with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Those familiar with said conversations indicate that Netanyahu is simply impossible to deal with, even rumored to have called him an “a-hole” in three different instances.

A spokesman for the National Security Council has stated that there’s no uneasiness with Biden. “The president has been clear where he disagrees with Prime Minister Netanyahu, but this is a decades-long relationship that is respectful in public and in private,” he noted.

But that clearly isn’t the case based on these potential witness reports, and with that, Biden could find himself up between a rock and a hard place as he continues to push for Israel support while slowly showing signs of frustration with Netanyahu.

Here to discuss the matter further is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.

Q&A:

  1. Do you believe Biden’s frustration with Netanyahu is validated, or is he simply overreacting to his actions in Israel?
  2. Why is Biden trying to stay invested with his support in Israel? Is he trying to save face with his voters with his potential re-election? Or is it something else involving other countries?
  3. Do you believe Biden may reach a “breaking point” with Netanyahu’s actions? It sounds like he’s barely containing his frustration as it is.
  4. We see that Israel has just begun its ground assault on Rafah. Have you taken a look at how that’s currently going?
  5. Where do you see the Israel/Hamas war headed as 2024 goes on? Will the situation get worse before it gets better?
  6. Tell us more about the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, and where people can go to support those in need.
