Israeli Charity Calls for Janet Yellen to Cut Tlaib’s Salary

In Response to Congresswomen Tlaib’s Demand to Revoke Tax-Exempt Status of Israeli Organizations

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (July 30, 2021)– On July 22, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) sent a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, urging her to review the status granted to “organizations that fund the expansion of Israeli settlements,” according to Israel 365.

In the letter, Tlaib, as well as six other Democratic lawmakers claimed that to provide tax-exempt status to Israeli organizations that build homes for Jews in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) was a “violation of international law and US federal tax law.”

In response, the founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund , David Rubin, sent a letter of his own to Yellin calling on her to not only ignore Tlaib’s claim but to also review Tlaib’s salary which is paid for by the US taxpayer noting that she uses her “position of power in Congress to undermine US interests in favor of hostile actors.”

David Rubin is available from Sunday Aug 1 to Thursday August 5 to discuss his counterattack on “The Squad” and all of its ramifications.

Suggested Questions:

  1. Is Rashida Tlaib really concerned about US federal tax law and the illegality of Jewish settlements? Clearly not, because the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria have been recognized as legal by the previous US administration. In her letter to Sec’y Yellen, Tlaib was assaulting wonderful pro-Israel organizations like Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, which I established after my three-year-old son and I were wounded by Palestinian terrorists, and which provides a full range of therapeutic and educational programs for thousands of terror victim children.
  2. Okay, if all of that is true, what is Tlaib’s beef with Israel? Tlaib doesn’t want Israel to exist. She identifies as a Palestinian hater of Israel and Jews and will do anything to harm our tiny, vibrant country, but we Jews in Israel are different than the Jews of the Holocaust. When our children are assaulted by haters like Tlaib, we fight back.
  3. Why did you write your own letter to the Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen? It wasn’t just a counterattack on Tlaib. I strongly believe that members of the squad like Tlaib and Ilhan Omar have a deep-seated hatred, not just for Israel, but also for America. Their statements and actions in support of Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists, as well as their ridiculing the significance of 9-11, make it an outrage that American taxpayers are forced to pay their salaries.
  4. You have been living in Israel for almost thirty years but were born and raised in the United States. Is it perhaps inappropriate for you to criticize elected representatives in Congress? I am an Israeli, but I remain a proud American citizen and I believe strongly that the US will only survive and thrive if its Judeo-Christian foundations are restored. The Squad wants to create a new Radical Left and Radical Muslim dominance. Patriotic Americans and Israelis need to stand together to prevent that from happening.
  5. Your latest book, “Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel” addresses all of these issues. Where can people get a copy? They can go to www.DavidRubinIsrael.com or just go to Amazon.com and type in the words, Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel.
