God’s Opinion on Israel: Issue of our Time

How a Christian Zionist looks at America’s Relations with the State of Israel in our Turbulent Times

From both a Christian and Jewish perspective, the matter of Israel is not a political debate – it’s a spiritual reality. The Bible is unambiguous: God blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who curse Israel. That’s not a slogan; it’s divine decree, first spoken to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 and reaffirmed again and again.

This is not a discussion about whether some Jewish people can be difficult to deal with at times. So can all of us. Nor is it a debate over the latest fiery remarks by commentators like Candace Owens, who passionately argues that “if regime change is needed anywhere, it’s in Israel.” However eloquent her rhetoric, this issue transcends human opinion. It’s not about Candace Owens. It’s not about Nick Fuentes. it’s not about Tucker Carlson. It’s not even about Netanyahu. It’s not even about political parties or global policy.

It’s about God’s opinion, and He has already written it down – permanently.

Across the 39 books of the Hebrew Bible and the 66 books of the Christian Bible (whose first 39 are identical to the Jewish Tanakh), the message is consistent: God chose Israel as His covenant people. Through Israel came the Torah, the prophets, and the Messiah Himself. To turn against Israel is to turn against the divine blueprint of history.

Nations rise and fall on this principle. Ancient empires that persecuted Israel – from Babylon to Rome – now exist only in ruins. Meanwhile, the Jewish people, against all odds, still stand. That alone is a testament to divine preservation.

The United States has been blessed beyond measure, more than any nation in recorded history. Our technological innovation, natural resources, and humanitarian reach are unparalleled. But our blessings are not accidental. They are linked to how we have treated Israel – with friendship, alliance, and aid.

When America stood with Israel in 1948, 1967, and 1973, we stood on the side of God’s Covenant. When we turned our back on Israel, even briefly, turmoil and decline in the USA soon followed. The pattern is unmistakable. As it’s written in Numbers 24:9: “Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you.”

The most concerning issue of our day is the annexation of parts of the so-called “West Bank” – biblically known as Judea and Samaria. This is not a minor political matter; it is of huge prophetic and moral significance.

While President Donald Trump has been the most pro-Israel U.S. president in history, there are troubling forces at work – both within and around his circle – pressuring him to oppose Israel’s right to its own land promised by our Creator from time immemorial and to enter into agreements that may endanger the one Jewish state.

This is the acid test for the survival of the United States itself. While God may have appeared to “wink” at sins such as abortion on demand, or even the modern madness of transgender surgeries on minors, there is one line He will not allow to be crossed: pressuring Israel to divide its covenant land or endangering it.

Forcing Israel toward a so-called “two-state solution” – a phrase eerily reminiscent of “the final solution” – is not just a political misstep; it is a spiritual provocation. Scripture declares that God will “enter into judgment with the nations” over this very issue – for dividing My land (Joel 3:2).

This, more than welfare, immigration, or even the pro-life debate, is the defining issue of our time. America’s prosperity, protection, and position in the world hinge on whether we continue to bless Israel or betray her.

When we bless Israel, we align ourselves with the eternal covenant of God. When we curse or coerce her, we invite judgment. It is that simple.

Israel’s right to Judea and Samaria is not a matter of negotiation; it is a matter of divine title deed. To surrender even one stone of that inheritance under foreign pressure is to question the authority of the One who granted it.

A Final Word

As tensions rise and world leaders weigh their words, both Jews and Christians must remember: the fate of nations is determined not by their military strength or political alliances, but by their relationship to Israel. God has made His position clear. He blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who curse her. And that is a truth no election, government, or global institution can overturn.

The United States stands at a crossroads. May we choose the path of blessing – the path of standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel – lest we, too, become a cautionary tale of what happens to those who defy the Word of the Living God.
