The Epoch Times’ investigative reporter takes a closer look at the latest rumored connection between the two countries.
There has been a lot of talk the past few months regarding a rumored alliance of Russia and China. However, a U.S. Envoy believes there are big bucks involved when it comes to disinformation.
Per this report from the Guardian, James Rubin, who serves as coordinator for the Global Engagement Center, explained during a European tour this week that China is actually spending billions of dollars manipulating information so that it shows Russia in a positive light.
“The well has been poisoned by Chinese and Russian disinformation – it’s pernicious,” Rubin noted during a recent interview. “In the communication space, the alignment between China and Russia is near complete.”
Rubin also noted that China was “repeating and promulgating the arguments of Russia about the war that it was started by NATO.”
This follows rumors that China was working with Russia to switch from non-lethal arms to lethal arms, which would assist them in their ongoing battle with Ukraine. And with tensions rising against the United States, there’s word that China may engage in some kind of military activity in just a couple years’ time.
