Is California Governor Gavin Newsom Using a Proposed Gas and Diesel Vehicle Ban As an Act of Totalitarian State? (Guest: Guy Mitchell)

Author Guy Mitchell discusses the actions of the governor, and how they compare to others from history.

Winston Churchill once said, “No one must, however, underrate the power and efficiency of a totalitarian state.” That relates to a new op-ed written by Guy Mitchell, the author of Global Warming: The Great Deception – The Triumph of Dollars and Politics Over Science and Why You Should Care.”

In it, Mitchell discusses the actions of California governor Gavin Newsom, who previously issued an executive order calling for the ban against sales of new gas and diesel powered vehicles by 2035. Actions were taken towards that this past August, with California’s Air Resources Board creating rules requiring 35 percent of new vehicle sales to be electric or hydrogen within just four years. In addition, fossil-fueled combustion engines will be banned from sale by 2035 within the state.

With this, Mitchell believes that Newsom is using an action to “subjugate” his people, using what’s known as a PSYOP – psychological operations. Wikipedia calls these “operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of governments, organizations, groups, and individuals.”

The part of a PSYOP being put into effect is having the government give a reason to pursue a course of actions – mainly against an enemy. But Newsom doesn’t have a person in mind, but rather global warming (or “climate change”) itself. He considers it an existential threat, in which he plans to take action against it.

But by doing so, Newsom could very well be using the ignorance of the population against the very people, particularly with “modified” information about extreme weather events and rising sea levels, amongst other natural disasters. This also includes providing data from scientists, but on an effective level against fossil fuels.

Mitchell joins us now to discuss this new op-ed, as well as his latest book.

Q&A:

  1. What prompted you to take a closer look at what Gavin Newsom is doing in California? The recent actions by the Air Resources Board, or just the “big picture” in general?
  2. How much is Newsom relying on using the proposed theories on the effects of fossil fuel and gas/diesel engines to try and convince his citizens they’re no longer needed?
  3. Do you believe there’s such a thing as a future without fossil fuel (gas/diesel), or do you believe they’ll be a necessity once flaws with hydrogen/electric cars are revealed?
  4. Tell us more about this PSYOP theory, and how Newsom might utilize it when it comes to pushing forward his plan against “climate change.”
  5. If elected President, do you believe Newsom could try to push this fight even further, enforcing it across the United States? (That’s if he runs, mind you.)
  6. How far do you think Newsom will go when it comes to abusing this proposed PSYOP for the sake of the planet?
  7. Tell us about your book, Global Warming: The Great Deception-The Triumph of Dollars and Politics Over Science and Why You Should Care. What can readers expect when it comes to how you detail what’s really happening with global warming? Is there anything in particular you think they’ll take away from it?
  8. Where can consumers find out more about your book, Global Warming: The Great Deception?

It’s available for purchase on Amazon here, and there’s also a Kindle version available here.
