Iran Out of Patience? (Guest: David Rubin)

The trouble in Iran is getting so bad that even Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is concerned. Former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin discusses what should happen next.

The animosity between Iran and Israel over the past few months has been hard to ignore, eventually getting to the point that the United States had to lay out calculative strikes on the former in an effort to shut down their missiles. But now a fresh new danger is brewing in Iran, to the point that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu can’t help but wonder what to do next.

Over the past couple of days, protests in Iran have raged out of control following a shutdown of Internet and phone line service. It appears to be over the nation’s economy, but rather than calming the situation, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has taken on the offensive.

Because of this, over 116 people have been killed during these protests, further standing by the notion that anyone taking part in said protests could be considered an “enemy of God,” which stands as a death-penalty charge.

Considering Iran’s uneasiness against Israel in the past, there is growing concern over this behavior. It’s gotten to the point that Netanyahu has voiced his concern, speaking with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio about what needs to happen next, as well as efforts towards keeping the peace with Gaza.

U.S. President Donald Trump has made it clear that he is “seriously considering” authorizing another strike against Iran following the rise of deaths from protests, though a final decision still has yet to be made.

With all this, the question is – what happens to Iran now? And, for that matter, how could whatever is unfolding affect both Israel and the United States?

Joining us now to discuss this further is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.

Q&A:

  1. What are your thoughts on what’s happening in Iran right now? Do their methods seem like the absolute worst way to handle protestors?
  2. What about the high death count with protestors? What does this say about the mental instability of Iran as a whole?
  3. What kind of concern does this create for Israel? Netanyahu certainly voiced how he feels while speaking with Rubio.
  4. Is now the time for Donald Trump to order a strike against Iran, in an effort to slow the deaths of protestors within their nation?
  5. What’s the ultimate solution with all of this when it comes to Iran? Does Khameini need to step down, or do other actions need to be taken?
  6. What about the ongoing situation between Israel and Hamas? Will peace continue to hold on that front in 2026?
  7. Tell us more about the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and how it can help those in need.
