How did Kyle’s High School Fire Cadet program influence his decision to take action under pressure? Guest: Michael Letts

The world now knows Kyle Rittenhouse has been declared not guilty. But what few people know is that Kyle attended a police and fire cadet program in high school. So, the question is, “How did that police cadet training influence Kyle’s decision to take action under pressure?”

Our guest is both a policeman, a firefighter, and a counselor who has keen insight into the mind of Kyle Rittenhouse since Officer Letts attended a similar program and counsels youth in similar situations.

Michael also gives us information on the status of 500 members of The National Guard called into Kenosha to avoid a repeat of riots in that town.

Q&A:

  1. The world now knows Kyle Rittenhouse has been declared not guilty. But what few people know is that Kyle attended a police and fire cadet program in high school. Tell us what you know about that program.

  1. When you were younger, you were enrolled in a similar cadet program. More so, you are a counselor with unique insight into Kyle’s mindset. Please share your thoughts, if you will.

  1. Is the Police department at fault for failing to act during the Kenosha Riots on August 25th, 2020? What circumstances are different this time around?

Answer: In August of 2020, Police Department personnel were acting on “orders” from political office holders….the Mayor and city council…. The fact is that First Responders took an oath to uphold the law and protect its citizens. They should never be forced to obey an unlawful stand-down order. Let’s hope the city fathers learned their lesson from last time. If not, we need to rely on the National Guard to protect Kenosha.

4) Does the Governor in either of these situations have the responsibility?

Answer: Yes, Last year, the governor should have immediately suspended the Mayor and council for dereliction of duty, ordered law enforcement’s immediate engagement and called in the National Guard. Then, if that was still not enough, he should have accepted the offer for Federal Assistance from President Trump. This time the National Guard is on hand. We can only hope the Guard doesn’t stand down and watch rioters “express themselves.”

5) What action could be taken if the verdict triggers violence?

Answer: In addition to the immediate full deployment of law enforcement and Guard Personnel, a 6 pm curfew should be imposed. Zero tolerance of any unlawful activity.

6) What can communities across America do to both support Kenosha and their communities?

Answer: Call their local elected officials and insist that any violence, rioting be dealt with swiftly and forcefully.

7)  What is InVestUSA doing to help our Law Enforcement and First Responders in situations like these?

Answer: We provide bulletproof vests to police. More information is at https://InvestUSA.org/

GUEST: Michael Letts is the CEO and Founder of  In-Vest USA, a national grassroots non-profit organization helping hundreds of communities provide thousands of bulletproof vests for their police forces through educational, public relations, sponsorship, and fundraising programs.
