The pastor and author discusses the ongoing problem between both sides, and if the ceasefire deal could fall apart as a result.
After spending months at each other’s throats, Israel and Hamas finally reached a ceasefire deal, resulting in the release of several key hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. But many are now questioning whether the ceasefire will truly last.
Hamas recently accused Israel of violating the ceasefire deal by blocking the return of tens of thousands of Palestinians from returning to the Gaza strip. However, Israel has pointed a finger in return, insisting that the group needs to release another female civilian hostage before it intends to budge.
As a result, tensions could be brewing again – and the ceasefire could very well collapse.
So what can be done to resolve the matter? Joining us now to discuss this further is Pastor Mark Biltz, an author and the founder and Senior Pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Washington State. His experience should prove useful in this conversation. Welcome, Mark.
Q&A:
- Was this ceasefire put together on shaky ground to begin with? Did it really have any sort of foundation in which to build upon?
- Who’s to blame for this recent situation? Does Hamas have any right to point a finger at Israel? Is Israel going too far demanding the release of a particular hostage?
- What could come as a result of this ceasefire collapsing? Could war escalate even further?
- What about Donald Trump? Do you believe there’s anything the American President can do to try and ease tensions?
- Where do you see the conflict between Israel and Hamas going if the ceasefire collapses? Will the war ever really see an end?
- You discuss something called the Tribulation quite often. Tell us more about it, and when you think it might take place.
- We understand we can see your sermons live online. Where can those interested go for further information?
