The founder of the Genesis 123 Foundation discusses the erroneous report, and why it contributes to bad press surrounding the Israel/Hamas war.
Mixed stories continue to come from various press outlets surrounding the Israel/Hamas war – but it’s one particular report that garnered the attention of author and Genesis 123 Foundation Founder Jonathan Feldstein.
The report, posted by AWRAD (Arab World for Research and Development), notes, for the most part, that “Palestinian Arabs roundly support terror against Israel, reject peace with Israel, and deny Israel’s very right to exist,” according to Feldstein’s writing on the matter.
But he notes “they did so with no shame,” which is a problem considering how much it got wrong. “They should be ashamed for their society and everything it says about the century-long dehumanization of Jews and delegitimization of Israel,” he said.
The report was filled with alarming statistics, including:
- overwhelmingly support the October 7 massacre against Israel (75%),
- support the genocidal creation of a Palestinian state “from the river to the sea” in place of Israel (74.7%),
- seek the restoration of “historical Palestine” as a final resolution (71.1%), albeit that there was never an independent entity under Arab authority known as Palestine to restore,
- and obviously, they reject coexistence with Israel (85.9%).
Feldstein then explained what innocent Palestinian Arabs actually feel in the report, and concluded, “The AWRAD poll shows that innocent Palestinian are delusional and hold views that are self-defeating. It raises the legitimate question as to whether Israel has, or ever will have, peace partners. It raises the question as Israel continues its combat to eradicate Hamas, whether all the innocent Palestinian Arabs are really so innocent after all.”
Feldstein joins us now to discuss the poll, as well as negative portrayal of what’s happening per the press.
Q&A:
- This poll by AWRAD is filled with all sorts of erroneous statistics. Why do you believe they published it to begin with? To get attention?
- Should AWRAD apologize for the poll? Or will they likely not even give that any consideration?
- Does this further contribute to some of the negative portrayal of what’s happening with the Israel/Hamas war? A few outlets seem to have gotten some information wrong, like with the recent bombing in Gaza.
- You’ve been pushing for quite some time for Jews to make peace with Christians, despite their history. Do you believe a union between the two groups would be beneficial, especially with this given time?
- Looking back on history, if the Arab world had accepted to establish the State of Israel in 1947 rather than extinguish it, life in Israel and the Middle East would likely be different, and perhaps even peaceful. Talk to us about why you believe this didn’t happen.
- You recently noted that your son is in Gaza this week. Can you tell us what’s happening and what’s going through your mind right now?
- We believe you recently discussed a Tanzanian Hamas terror victim that was recently laid to rest with comfort and support from Israel. Can you tell us more about him?
- Tell us about the Genesis 123 Foundation.
- It is a nonprofit whose mission is to build bridges between Jews and Christians with Israel in ways that are new, unique, and meaningful.
- Where may we find more information on the Genesis 123 Foundation?
