House Grills Big City School Administrators Over Rise in Antisemitism (Grant Berry)

Fueled by Republicans seeking to stop the rising antisemitism, the House of Representatives brought in the heads of three of the largest school systems in America and questioned them on what was occurring in their schools. The rise in antisemitism has followed the October 7 terror attack on Israel and is particularly bad in large U.S. cities. Jewish students are now reportedly facing harsh treatment in many of the school districts.

Unsurprisingly, some Democrats at the hearing used the platform to attack former President Donald Trump. They also bemoaned statues of Confederate soldiers and complained that Republicans have no business questioning those who run the schools. The idea of Jewish kids feeling unsafe appears lost on them.

Many of the large school districts are accused of making the idea of antisemitism a low priority. We have already witnessed overt anti-Israel protests on college campuses. And at the k through 12 levels, many feel the antisemitism is nearly as bad but an issue that is neglected by the administrators.

Joining us now to discuss the congressional hearings is Grant Berry, founder of Reconnecting Ministries and the author and producer of the Romans 911 project. His effort to restore the relationship between Jews and Christians gives him a unique perspective on how to handle the troubling antisemitism we are seeing today.

Welcome, Grant.
