The pastor and author discusses what could come next from the recent ceasefire, and if any more hostages could be released.
After what felt like an eternity with ongoing conflict, a ceasefire has finally been reached between Israel and Hamas. What’s more, it appears that some hostages are finally starting to be released, with three being handed over – in good health – to the Red Cross.
People were celebrating the release of Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari, who have been captives after being taken from Israel back in October 2023.
Israel military forces have already begun withdrawing from the Gaza strip, indicating that more could be coming from the ceasefire – as long as it stays in place, that is. After all, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it very clear that the ceasefire is “temporary.”
So the real question is what happens next. Joining us now to discuss this further is Pastor Mark Biltz, an author and the founder and Senior Pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Washington State. His experience should prove useful in this conversation. Welcome, Mark.
Q&A:
- What are your thoughts on this latest ceasefire, and the release of potential hostages that came from it?
- What do you think will happen with this ceasefire in the days ahead? Will we see the release of even more hostages?
- What about Netanyahu’s warning that it’s all “temporary”? Could this potentially anger Hamas into possibly withdrawing from the ceasefire?
- What does this say about the conflict as a whole? Will the Israel/Hamas fight finally end in 2025? Or is the worst yet to come?
- What about the impact of Donald Trump re-entering U.S. office this week as President? Could that provide Israel the additional support it needs, or no?
- You discuss something called the Tribulation quite often. Tell us more about it, and when you think it might take place.
- We understand we can see your sermons live online. Where can those interested go for further information?
