Terrorist Drone From Lebanon Hits Israeli Army Post, Killing Four
Up to this point, Israel’s IDF and tactical strikes – to include exploding pagers – have largely been indicating unmatched superiority against Hezbollah. Now, Hezbollah has landed a direct strike at the Golani Brigade’s Army Post 40 miles inside Israel’s northern border with Lebanon. The casualties amounted to four dead and 60 wounded, which represents the bloodiest attack against Israel, inside its borders, since the October 7th attacks by Hamas last year.
The most recent attack by Hezbollah may have also given the terrorist organization a way forward for future attacks. “In this case,” says Mark Biltz, “the attacks came from a drone that penetrated Israel’s airspace but in the past the Iron Drone had been very effective against rockets and missiles.”
It remains to be seen how and when Israel responds, how it will plan against future drone attacks, or how quickly Hezbollah launches follow-up attacks based on the success of the drone strike.
