Gun Ownership and Pro-Second Amendment Legislation in the States Continue Meteoric Rise Thanks to Joe Biden’s Aggressive Anti-Second Amendment Administration

Second Amendment Foundation Sees More than 116,000 New Members since Joe Biden was Inaugurated.

“Since we began our advertising campaign twenty weeks ago, we have seen more than 116,000 new members joining the Second Amendment Foundation organizations,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan Gottlieb.

This week Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed seven pieces of legislation to strengthen the Second Amendment in the state of Texas, including Constitutional Carry which allows any Texan 21 years and older to carry a handgun without a permit, and designate Texas as a Second Amendment Sanctuary State. Wisconsin is not far behind.

The panic of the pandemic had more Americans buying guns and ammo than ever before, with a record one million federal background checks conducted in just one week in March 2020—the month the country wide shutdown started. That record was broken this spring with 1.2 million background checks in a single one-week period.

Under the Biden administration the Second Amendment remains a top target of the Democrats and members of Congress, which has put gun rights at the top of the political issues list for voters on both sides of the aisle. Candidates and incumbents are taking notice of the rise of gun ownership and passing of pro-Second Amendment legislation around the country.

ABOUT STEPHEN WILLEFORD (In Central Time): A native of Sutherland Springs, Texas, Stephen Willeford was raised in a family of five on a dairy farm near the First Baptist Church. He is the fourth generation to live on a few hundred acres of land in Wilson County. Stephen has always relied on his faith to guide his life, and his deep roots in Sutherland Springs are a product of his family’s commitment to their community. An avid sportsman, Stephen began shooting at a young age and honed his shooting skills by participating in shooting competitions as he grew older.
