Gulf with Iran: Man in Israel Explains

Gulf Widens: As War Powers Deadline approaches, Gap between Peace and Jihad Could Expand

The Persian Gulf is as consequential as its Hormuz Strait is narrow. The Gulf between participants in hostilities there, however, is definitely widening. David Rubin, founder of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and a survivor of a terrorist attack in Israel, is available for interviews to discuss the rapidly escalating tensions surrounding Iran, President Donald Trump, and the increasingly dangerous role being played by Qatar and other Islamist-aligned nations in the Middle East.

  • Trump approaches key military action deadline on Iran and the Gulf.
  • Abraham Accords divide moderate and Islamist-aligned Gulf nations.
  • UAE-Israel peace contrasts growing regional Islamist alliances among Gulf nations

As a former Mayor of Shiloh, Rubin is also very knowledgeable about the geopolitics of the gulf region. As Trump signals a harder line against Iran and weighs military options amid the regime’s continued aggression and proxy warfare, Rubin argues that one critical factor continues to be ignored by policymakers and media alike: the role of radical Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood network driving instability throughout the region.

Rubin points directly to Qatar as “the biggest villain in all of this right now.” The Gulf state has become the de facto home base for Hamas leadership, while simultaneously financing radical Islamist causes and pro-Muslim activist movements across the West. Rubin warns that Qatar’s influence operation extends far beyond the Middle East, funneling money into universities, political groups, and anti-Israel activism designed to normalize extremist narratives under the guise of social justice.

While the United Arab Emirates and Israel continue to demonstrate the success and stability made possible through the Abraham Accords, Rubin says other Muslim-majority nations are moving in the opposite direction. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan have all shown resistance toward deeper normalization with Israel, even as Iran-backed terror networks grow more aggressive. Rubin argues that these nations are increasingly aligning themselves — politically and ideologically — with radical Islamic elements tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and global jihadist movements.

At the same time, Trump faces mounting pressure as the 60-day clock tied to military action without a formal congressional declaration of war rapidly approaches. Rubin says the administration now stands at a pivotal crossroads: confront Iran decisively or risk emboldening a broader Islamist coalition operating throughout the gulf region.

Having personally survived a Muslim terrorist attack that nearly killed his young son, Rubin brings firsthand perspective to the conversation. He says America’s foreign policy establishment continues to ignore the central ideological driver behind these conflicts.

“Why is the Muslim factor being ignored?” Rubin asks. “You cannot understand Hamas, Iran, Qatar, or the Muslim Brotherhood unless you acknowledge the role radical Islamist ideology plays in motivating and sustaining these movements.”

Rubin is available to discuss the growing regional alliance between Iran and Islamist actors in the gulf and beyond, the future of the Abraham Accords, Qatar’s global influence campaign, and whether the Trump administration is prepared for the broader ideological war now unfolding.
