George Soros’ District Attorney Finally Dropped Indictment Charges On Police Officers – But the Damage Is Done

Law enforcement veteran Michael Letts looks at the billionaire’s smear campaign against 17 officers already proven innocent of aggravated assault.

Even though the system felt they were innocent, billionaire George Soros decided to wage war with members of the Austin Police department.

Following their exoneration from charges involves with quelling Black Lives Matter riots in 2020, Soros’ progressive district attorney, Jose Garza, chose to indict numerous officers in the situation, believing they conducted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after firing non-lethal rounds into the crowd during a 2020 “Black Lives Matter” protest.

This past week, Garza dismissed the charges, noting, “Our community is safer when our community trusts enforcement. When it believes law enforcement follows that law and protects the people who live here. There cannot be trust if there is no accountability when law enforcement breaks the law.”

However, many officers feel that they were instead targets of a smear campaign by Soros and his DA, calling it a full-blown “war on cops.”

“This has nothing to do with justice, has nothing do with any wrongdoing,” Austin Police officer Justin Berry, one of the indicted officers who had his charges dropped last week, noted when he was initially charged last year. “This is simply about politics and a political agenda that has taken place with these radical liberal district attorneys.”

Joining us now to discuss this matter further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. His expertise on situations such as this make him an ideal subject for this discussion.

Q&A:

  1. Do you personally believe that Soros and his DA waged an unfair war against police officers that had been previously exonerated of any wrongdoing?
  2. Perez noted that the officers were charged with aggravated assault against rioters, but they used non-lethal rounds in an effort to disperse the crowd. Is this standard procedure for riot situations?
  3. Why do you believe Soros and Perez acted the way they did? Did they truly wish to “wage war” on the police, as so many “defund the police” believers have done?
  4. Do you believe cases like this will continue, where officers are accused of wrongdoing instead of being given the support they deserve?
  5. Do you believe President Biden will finally pass a bill to “fund the police” again, as he previously promised? Or will it be up to the Republicans in office?
  6. Will the conversation surrounding police officers be a big topic during the 2024 Presidential election?
  7. You’re the creator of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. Tell us more about that, and why support for fellow officers is so important right now.
  8. Where can we learn more about InVest USA, and how those interested can help their fellow officers.
  9. You can visit our official InVest USA website, and learn more on the official Invest USA Twitter account. You can also learn about my new initiative at RestoringJustice.US, where we discuss lawful issues surrounding citizens of the United States.
