FX Documentary ‘AKA Jane Roe’ Misleads saying Norma McCorvey Paid to switch from Pro-Abortion to Pro-Life

Operation Rescue Founder Randall Terry available from Memphis TN in Central Time zone from his professional home television studio via Skype, Zoom or Phone

Intro: FX has a series on the life of the landmark Roe v Wade Plaintiff Norma McCorvey set to premiere Friday, May 23, 2020. It shows the transition of Norma McCorvey, aka Jane Roe, as the cover girl of the abortion movement to becoming a newly minted pro-lifer. FX says she defected strictly for money about being pro-life. But Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry, who oversaw over 70,000 people being arrested in front of abortion clients back in the late 80s and early 90s, says that Judas-like defection for 30 pieces of silver is categorically false. Joining us to set the record straight is the man who had twice the number of protestors arrested as did Martin Luther King did during this historic civil rights marches of the 1960s, Randall Terry.

Q&A:

Q1: In your opinion has the FX series accurately depicted the life of famous plaintiff of Roe v. Wade, Norma McCorvey?

A1: If they are saying her conversion to Christ, or the pro-life cause was not real, they did not know the Norma that I knew. What she said on tape at the end of her life is something we can discuss.

Q2: You knew Norma McCorvey personally and actually lived with her at one time. Tell us about your relationship with her.

A2: Norma and I spent an enormous amount of time together. We told jokes, drank beer, shot pool, did shots on our down time, but when it was time to herald the message for the unborn, she was all in. She was arrested with us twice – once at Notre Dame to protest Obama getting an award, the other time during the Sotomayor confirmation hearings. No one was paying her to get arrested…or to go through the hassles of the legal system. She did that because she believed. She stayed with my family for a month when she was in a rough spot. Obviously, we had a lot of time together at that time. I came to know her better than most people.

Q3:  How do you know Norma McCorvey was not paid to fake a conversion from pro-abortion to pro-life as alleged by FX and also asserted in an article this week in The Los Angeles Times and other publications?

A3: I want to see the cancelled check. I want to see the bank statements. There is no way in heaven or hell that Norma was publicly baptized because someone paid her. It is ludicrous. Did she get paid for her speaking appearances? Yes, of course Did I pay her at times to speak at an event for me? Yes, of course. She had bills to pay, as we all do.

Q4: You made a documentary on the life of Norma McCorvey that opens with the iconic news anchor, Ted Koppel. Tell us about it and where we may watch it.

A4: It can be seen on my web site, https://RandallTerry.com/

When I went to Norma’s funeral, I had to bring my cameraman with me because I had to shoot my daily TV show while I was on the road. While we were there, I decided to start interviewing old friends of Norma’s, including Flip Benham, the man who baptized Norma, and Rob Schenk, who sadly has abandoned the pro-life cause. I spoke with two of Norma’s friends who were with her while she was dying. The story they tell about her, unborn babies, and her faith in Christ is very different than what we are hearing.

It appears that these film makers have an agenda. For someone to make a documentary about Norma, and NOT interview Flip Benham shows to me that they cannot be taken seriously.

Q5: In your opinion, what are the prospects for Roe v. Wade being overturned, either now or in the foreseeable future

A5:  I am certain that Roe v. Wade will be overturned. They only question is when; perhaps when the Heartbeat Law comes before the high court. The Supreme Court is yet to hear the fetal heartbeat bill or the Alabama law. With the current makeup of the Court, I don’t know which way it will go. But if Ginsburg resigns or dies, President Trump will be able to appoint another judge from his list. Hopefully they did the right job vetting these judges. Clarence Thomas is solidly pro-life. Chief Justice Roberts will hopefully vote pro-life. Justice Gorsuch replaced Justice Scalia so we hope we have a pro-life vote there. Justice Cavanaugh replaced Justice Kennedy, so hopefully we gained ground from an unreliable Justice Kennedy in Cavanaugh. Plus, Samuel Alito. That makes five rock-solid votes, plus if there becomes a vacancy, Trump is virtually certain to appoint replace one of the liberal justices with another constitutional pro-life conservative.

I do have my concerns, however. We thought we had a majority with the Casey decision. We need five judges who will say unequivocally that there is no right to kill a child by abortion in our constitution. Do we have that today? I don’t know.

Q8: If Roe v. Wade were overturned, does that in and of itself make abortions illegal?

A8:  No. It would leave it up to the legislature of each state to determine whether abortion would be allowed in that state, and if a state decided to allow abortions, it could place restrictions, such as limiting abortion to cases where it was necessary to save the life of the mother, for example.

Some states will ban it immediately, others, like New York, Illinois, and California, will likely become harbors of killing.

Ultimately, there will have to be federal legislation that outlaws child killing in all 50 states. There is no “states right” to abortion any more than there was “states right” for slavery.

I believe that if America is going to survive as a free republic, we must again make it a crime to kill the unborn from conception until death. And I know that the Norma McCorvey I knew for decades fought for that very goal.

Q9: Where can we get more information on you and your documentaries including your new hard-hitting film Pandemic: The Threshing of America, in which you assert that the COVID-19 Pandemic is a wakeup call from God, calling us to repent for abortion?

A9: It is posted and viewable for free to anyone who wishes to see it at:
