Director Cindy Drukier talks about being featured on the festival, and why it’s important for so many people to see the film.
Ever since its debut earlier this summer, The Unseen Crisis: Vaccine Stories You Were Never Told has been turning quite a few heads.
The EpochTV-produced documentary deals with the fallout from the COVID-19 vaccine, which was rolled out shortly after the virus took over the United States back in 2020. While the government promised it would do a world of good, not everyone has seen it that way.
Highlighting several people that were affected by the vaccine, the documentary has presented strong pieces of evidence against its effectiveness. And now, it’s set to make its debut at a noteworthy film series next month.
Unseen Crisis is set to show at the Festival of Cinema NYC on Tuesday, August 8th, with tickets available to purchase here. It marks an important step for a documentary such as this, giving it a higher platform for even more people to see what it’s all about – and its message to be heard loud and clear.
Joining us to discuss the documentary and its debut in the Festival is Cindy Drukier, the film’s producer, director and writer. She also serves as senior editor, producer and host for NTD Television. We welcome her to the program.

- First off, congrats on the success of the documentary. How has the response to it been so far?
- How much of an honor is it to be included the Festival of Cinema NYC, alongside other award-worthy films?
- You’ll also be taking part in a Q&A at the festival, following the screening of the film. Who all will be joining you for it?
- For those that would try to brush off The Unseen Crisis as “political propaganda” or insisting it’s spreading a false message about the vaccine, what would your counter-argument be?
- What else have you learned about what’s happening with COVID vaccines following the film’s release? We understand you’ve learned quite a bit more about the “compensation system” surrounding those injured by the vaccine, but they’ve been doing very few payouts.
- Following this premiere, do you have any more events or festivals coming up for The Unseen Crisis?
- You also worked on a documentary called Finding Manny. Tell us more about that.
