A spokesman for the Gun Owners of America discusses the importance of said bill, as it pushes for recognizance of a concealed-carry permit across states.
For the longest time, several key states have been trying to push anti-gun initiatives, particularly with recognizing concealed-carry permits as they go across state lines. New York is particularly finicky with this, forcing those that visit to jump through a “million loopholes” to exercise that right.
However, the good news is that the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity bill could make things much easier for private gun owners – and it’s making progress!
In a news release, the Gun Owners of America confirmed that the House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan, voted to advance the bill to a full floor vote in the House. What’s more, President Donald Trump has vowed to sign the bill into law if it makes its way to his desk!
But the real question is when the Senate vote will take place – and if movement can finally go forward for those that practice Concealed-Carry.
Joining us now is a spokesman for the Gun Owners of America to discuss the importance of the bill, and any potential opposition it may face.
Mark Jones, who serves as National Director for the Gun Owners of America, is available for interview.
In addition, there is Stephen Willeford, who currently serves as spokesman for the Gun Owners of America. Stephen is the “hero with a gun” from the Sutherland Springs incident in 2017, which he has since co-written a book about.
We welcome them to the show!
