A spokesman for the Gun Owners of America discusses the attempt to attack the Second Amendment, as well as a recent Continuing Resolution for the SAVE Act.
If anything is certain, it’s that certain politicians – namely Democrats – will go out of their way to try to pass some form of gun control, even with the Second Amendment protecting the rights of private gun owners.
The Gun Owners of America made note about a recent omnibus full of gun control initiatives that some members of Congress are trying to pass with a forthcoming session. It follows a move made by former House speaker Nancy Pelosi, who tried to enact a dozen gun control programs while she was in charge.
The group isn’t resting easily, however. Not only did it force the Harris-Biden Administration to sign three major pro-gun appropriations, but it also recently supported the strategy of a six-month Continuing Resolution for the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAFE) Act, which will help provide additional safety for the Second Amendment.
“The SAVE Act is also a critical protection for the Second Amendment. While pro-gun states are taking steps to purge illegal aliens from their voter registration systems, many key states are not. We cannot allow non-citizens to vote in our elections, especially if they are going to vote for anti-gun politicians who want to destroy our Second Amendment.”
The only question now is if the SAFE Act can move forward – and if the omnibus can be stopped.
