China’s Defense Minister and Russian President Putin Are Strengthening Their Countries’ Ties – But What Will It Mean For the United States? (Guest: Nan Su)

The Epoch Times’ investigative reporter Nan Su discusses what could come from Russia and China continuing to work closely together.

At a time when China is already at heavy odds with the United States, it could be ruffling feathers further following a crucial meeting in Russia just over the weekend.

China Defense Minister Li Shangfu and Russian president Vladimir Putin recently met to discuss how they could deepen military cooperation between their countries. They had previously discussed working together with strategic communications between their militaries.

Shangfu said about the meeting, “China is willing to work with Russia to make new contributions to the maintenance of world and regional security and stability.” What’s more, he assured that the ties between the two countries “surpass the military-political alliances of the cold war era.”

Now, the two appear to be working on what is deemed a “no limits” partnership, including the “exchange” of “useful information,” as well as “joint exercises” with their militaries.

But what will this mean for the United States and its allies, including Taiwan? Could China be planning something with Russia’s help in retaliation for its actions against the Chinese Communist Party over the past few months?

Joining us to discuss this further is Nan Su, an investigative reporter for The Epoch Times that continuously looks into the actions of China. His expertise will prove useful in this matter.
