Well, Britney Spears has done it again. She is pregnant with baby number three!
The 40-year-old pop singer and her boyfriend Sam Asghari made their pregnancy announcement on social media.
When Britney was a teenager, her attire launched many fashion trends, including belly shirts.
This time, a more mature Spears may be spearheading a new beauty trend: pregnancy makeup.
Our guest is makeup entrepreneur Natalie Plain, CEO of Billion Dollar Beauty, who is releasing a new Beauty Box for pregnant women.
Q&A:
- Welcome, Natalie. Tell us about your new beauty line and how the Britney Spears pregnancy announcement inspired it.
Answer: Pregnancy often causes women to lose sleep, so our concealer is a must to keep looking fresh and awake (even if you’re when you’re not.)
- What makeup advice would you give Britney Spears in her current stage of pregnancy?
Answer: With pregnancy hormones in full effect, we recommend Britney ditch traditional foundation and stay bright while having light coverage using our Gold Illuminator, which we have in our Billion Dollar Box.
- What is your Billion Dollar Box?
Answer: Our Billion Dollar Box is built for the busy on-the-go Mom. Britney can pop in for her pregnancy check-ups with her Billion Dollar Box in tow, knowing she has a pop of color for every area of her face – Eyes, Cheeks, Lips, and Brows. Our box is customized only to include the colors and shades of makeup needed and desired. Unfortunately, more than 50% of all colors in traditional makeup kits go unused.
- What might your customized Billion Dollar Box look like for Britney?
Answer: Post-delivery Britney can keep her beauty and baby ‘must-haves’ all in one – Billion Dollar Beauty products box, including baby creams that can come together to make the ultimate Billion Dollar Babe Duo.
- Britney Spears is not the only one to spawn trends. You launched a particular beauty look early in the Covid era. Tell us about that.
Answer: As soon as I saw that masks were around to stay indefinitely, and with everyone meeting on Zoom, we developed looks focusing on the eyebrows. Lips were out, and eyes and eyebrows were in. Since women and men paid more attention than ever to their eyebrows, the law of unintended consequences kicked in. Realizing that eyebrows are an essential part of framing our face, we capitalized on that concept, provided makeup that focused on eyebrows and shipped millions of dollars in product nearly overnight to all the shut-ins on Zoom meetings.
- Find a need and fill it, as they say, and apparently, you did. Tell us more about your company and how you got in the beauty business and grew to the level of success you are enjoying today.
- Natalie, where may we find more about your Billion Dollar Beauty company?
Answer: BillionDollarBeauty.com
