Biden Administration Undermines Israel’s Right to Self Defense (Guest: David Rubin)

After Iran attempted to obliterate Israel with their first ever direct missile and drone strikes on the Jewish state over the weekend, President Joe Biden told Netanyahu the U.S. won’t support an Israeli response.

In an article in American Thinker, Rubin points out “President Joe Biden’s directives against Israel waging a counterattack on Iran, following an unprecedented direct attack by Iran, raise significant questions about the U.S.’s stance on defending its allies and upholding the principles of national sovereignty and self-defense.”

He later asks the question: “What if Israel had not intercepted all those missiles and drones? What if they hit their intended targets? Israel, the size of New Jersey, would be devastated.”

Here to discuss the Iran attack and President Biden’s response is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, David.

Q&A:

1. Why do you suppose Biden is acting so dovish after this attack on Israel?

2. What do you think the United States would do if Iran directly attacked their country?

3. What does no counterattack say to Iran?

4. How does no response to the attack put Israel in further jeopardy?

5. You also discussed in the article the idea – pushed by Biden – that “Israel should provide humanitarian aid and support to those who have openly declared hostility against it.” Why is that a bad idea?

6. You mention in the article “the aggressor is portrayed as the victim.” Explain this.

7. In the article, you also discussed the hatred of Israel displayed on college campuses. Why is that happening?

8. How should Israel respond to the attack by Iran?
