As the Israel Election Comes Next Tuesday, Many Questions Arise From It – Like Who Will Win and What Change They Will Bring (Guest: David Rubin)

Former Mayor of Shiloh Israel David Rubin provides his take on what to expect from next week’s election.

This coming Tuesday, a very important election will take place in Israel, with a lot of potential to change things forever.

There are some that believe that Itamar Ben-Givr will find an opportunity to move closer to power with the election, while others feel that Benjamin Netanyahu, who had been a long-serving prime minister for Israel, could see a return to power. This comes on the heels of Yair Lapid’s replacing him in the previous year, with the help of a coalition government.

But there are bigger questions that come from this. Depending on who’s elected, what will happen with Israel’s future? How will the world be affected? Could there be controversy that could call for another election sooner rather than later?

Here to talk more about the election – as well as what could result from it – is David Rubin. David is the former Mayor of Shiloh Israel, and is also the author of seven books, as well as the founder of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. His expertise should certainly add some weight to this matter.

Q&A:

  1. What chance do you think Netanyahu has to win and reclaim his role as Prime Minister?
  2. If for some reason Netanyahu doesn’t win this particular election, is there a chance he could try to run again in the future?
  3. Let’s talk about Itamar Ben-Givr. Why is half of Israel so intimidated by him, and what would happen if he were to end up elected?
  4. What do you think are the burning issues for Israeli voters to consider that could very well separate the parties?
  5. With this election, could it all come down to whose coalition has a majority of seats in the Knesset (Israel’s parliament)? Or could there be another factor to consider?
  6. Let’s talk worldwide effect. Do you believe that President Joe Biden and his colleagues are keeping a close eye on the election? Which way do you believe they’re leaning towards in terms of a victory?
  7. What kind of worldwide effect could we see from Israel following the election?
  8. Tell us more about your work as an author, including such books as Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel and Trump and the Jews.
  9. Where can we learn more about yourself, as well as your work with the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund?
