AOC Goes DUMB: Out of Touch Comments About Israel “Genocide” Creates Massive Outrage (Guest: David Rubin)

The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s comments about Israel, which has left many people enraged – especially considering where she spoke.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has always been outspoken when it comes to government topics. However, this time around, she might have gone too far, to the point that her political career could be in turmoil. And rightfully so.

During the Munich Security Conference this past Friday, AOC went on the attack against Israel, even going as far as to say they took part in a “genocide.”

According to Fox News, she noted, “Personally, I think that the United States has an obligation to uphold its laws, particularly the Leahy laws. And I think that, personally, that the idea of completely unconditional aid, no matter what one does, does not make sense. I think it enabled a genocide in Gaza. And I think that we have thousands of women and children dead that don’t, that was completely avoidable.”

This statement has created a ripple with many experts, especially considering she made it in Munich, where Adolf Hitler’s Nazi movement carried out the worst genocide in human history decades prior.

Tom Gross, who serves an expert on international affairs, noted, “AOC has flown all the way to Munich…in order to smear the Jewish people further with a phony genocide allegation.”

He then added, “Such preposterous allegations of ‘genocide’ form the bedrock of modern antisemitic incitement against Jews in the U.S. and globally. This shocking ignorance and insensitivity by Ocasio-Cortez should rule her out of any potential presidential bid or other high office.”

What’s more, Danny Orbach, who serves as a military historian for the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, added that AOC’s words are an “accusation that is incorrect both factually and legally. Under the Genocide Convention, genocide requires proof of a special intent to destroy a protected group, in whole or in part, and as a baseline condition, an active effort to maximize civilian destruction.”

He added that “Israel undertook unprecedented measures to mitigate civilian harm, including establishing humanitarian safe zones that independently verified data show were approximately six times safer than other areas of Gaza.”

Why would AOC go to such lengths to make such ridiculous comments? And, for that matter, what fallout could come from them?

Joining us now to discuss this situation further is former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin, who currently serves as the founder and President of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.
