Raising Dawgs: We MUST Teach Generation Alpha Before the Algorithms and Bots Raise them

Human history moves in eras. We’ve lived through the rise of Generation X, the digital acceleration of Millennials, and the socially fragmented world of Generation Z. But now we are entering a new frontier — a generation born in parallel with artificial intelligence itself. They are called Generation Alpha. And make no mistake: they will need to live up to the name.
For the first time, a generation will not be learning to use technology — they will be raised alongside it, developed in the same timeframe as rapidly advancing AI systems that are evolving faster than governments, institutions, or even ethical frameworks can keep up. Every Gen Alpha child is stepping into a world where information can be manipulated in real time, identity can be engineered, and perception itself can be shaped by algorithms.
This is not a doomsday forecast. It is an acknowledgment that the next generation must be equipped differently. They will need emotional resilience, discernment, adaptive thinking, and a deep understanding of what it means to be human in an age when the definition of human capability is changing.
I have served on the operational side of intelligence. I have seen how psychological pressure, cognitive warfare, and narrative shaping work in real-world conflict zones. The battlefield has moved — it is now informational, perceptual, and digital. Generation Alpha will not just inherit that battlefield — they will grow up inside it.
This is why the term “Alpha” matters. We cannot raise a generation that is passive, deferential, or dependent on external systems to think, interpret, and judge reality for them. We must raise leaders — mentally strong, morally anchored, and capable of independent thought.
The coming era will not belong to the strongest physically, nor the smartest academically, but to those who can maintain clarity when the world is engineered to confuse them.
Generation Alpha must not simply survive this future.
They must learn to lead it.
