Both CVS and Walgreens are set to start carrying a drug that our guest, CompassCare CEO Jim Harden, believes could be a danger to women nationwide.
The pharmacy chains confirmed late last week that they are set to start selling mifepristone, or abortion pills, sometime within the next few weeks. Though the pills will require a prescription, they could be readily available to anyone that requests them through a doctor.
Though approved by the Food and Drug Administration years prior, there have been a number of legal battles against mifepristone. With this release, however, Harden believe this chemical coat hanger, as he calls it, will dominate the abortion industry, leaving in-person trips to clinics at record lows. Jim Harden joins us now to discuss the situation further.
